Working with an Engineering Firm
Occasionally, as knowledgeable and professional as our own technicians are, an installation project comes along that is big enough to require a consultation. In these rare instances, ACS will partner with an engineering firm or other consultants to ensure the job is done correctly.
Typically, the company building a new facility will hire an engineering firm to work with us to select the correct compressors, equipment and piping, manage the pricing, installation and setup. ACS also has access to a Project Management Team at Ingersoll Rand to assist in larger installations that may require drawings and design work. ACS can access this project management team in the event the client has not hired an engineering firm.
When we do work with an engineering firm on an installation we take into consideration the size of the equipment, the layout of the compressor room as it relates to the facility itself, and the piping needed- including the proposed distribution paths. Sometimes a client will have a layout in mind that just won’t work for an efficient, safe air compressor set-up. In this case, we will work with the project manager and we will suggest alternative designs to maximize efficiency.
Obviously, we always work to guarantee an efficient installation and operation under any circumstances but the involvement of an engineering firm just guarantees a gigantic installation will go smoothly and the compressor unit and all its’ components will be installed efficiently, safely and correctly.
Air Components & Systems does utilize mechanical contractors to install the engineered designs of an engineering firm and the IR Project Management Team. We can help with projects from a simple piping job to installing an entire compressed air system, equipment and piping, in an entire plant.
No matter what size your install, call our technicians and experts at (866) 413-8077 and we’ll get you up and running in no time.
